disclaimer: this is the life and times of meredith r. mistletoe. i'm making a slight attempt to disguise my identity and hide things that i write about and pretend i don't feel things i do. but if you read this and i don't know you read it, then you read it at your own risk. and you should let me know you're reading it... especially because a lot of the time things need clarifying or aren't quite true anymore or etc etc etc.

note: potential employers: please do not judge me on my diaryland. that's lame.

okay. diaryland still hates me. i don't know if you've figured it out, but if you go back a couple of entries then there are two of the friday entry you can go to. what the fuck? actually, now that i'm adding this, it'll probably be screwed up in a completely new way!!!!!!!!!!

so, whitby. yeah. me and geordie took the go train there, and it was gorgeous. so pretty. we sat on the top floor and watched the lake and looked out at the fields (yes, fields, who knew they existed here?). it was just super relaxing and we did a crossword and chatted.

when we got there his dad, paul, and puppy, maddie, picked us up and then took us home and paul made us breakfast - pancakes and eggs (and no bacon!). it was so good. and then sue (the mum) came home and brought strawberries and we all sat around..i haven't been around families since i moved here..it's really kind of nice.

then me and geordie drove out to port perry, a little town with ye olde shoppes and the like and we wandered by the lake and ate ice cream (delicious).

the driving was the best part. hanging out the car window and waving at the cows and shreiking 'the babies' whenever there was a small animal of any kind. and listening the beatles at top volume and geordie laughing at me. and kissing at red lights.

we went back to whitby and went to value village..where i met the best shoes ever and then couldn't buy them because they clearly were too small and i couldn't justify the expense..but they were perfect! they were converse hightops but called 'conosaurs' and had a picture of a dinosaur on the side and pastel prints and the bottoms had the imprint of a dinosaur track, so that when you'd walk, you'd leave a dinosaur print!!! just what a meredactyl needs. really. i was so sad not to wear them. oohh the pretties.

but then we went back to his parents' house, which is the cutest in a bednbreakfast kind of a way (with lots of teddy bears and potpouri and flowers and "crafty" things). it's like a big cottage, it has tons of windows and soft couches and a big front porch with a swing. and a big back yard with a mini-house (a one room cottage thing) and trees and gardens. it's so comforting. i fell asleep on the couch and geordie fell asleep on the floor playing with the puppy. aww. we slept until his mum came in and started to make supper, then i got up and we made supper while geordie slept. i quite like his parents. they're open and friendly...me and sue really like mushrooms and geordie and paul don't at all ever, so we made a giant pan of sauted mushrooms just for us. we had them with pasta and we made a big salad and some garlicky cheesetoast. it was so delicious and filling.

the go train back was fun too, it was getting to be dark out and we mostly just cuddled. it really wasn't all that exciting, except that it really was. aw.

chart magazine seems to really really like the mark inside, you can go read these articles if you want. in a hot way.

okay, i have to go to class. i'll come write more later probably, so check back.

later: okay. i just wrote two tests this morning. fun! actually, i think i did fine, in a passing sort of a way, and i'm feeling relieved because i haven't been attending these classes, and am possibly failing miserably. this will make it all okay though. i hope.

last night was pretty fun. instead of doing laundry and dishes (oh god do i ever need to do both of those things) i went out for ice cream with geordie, priscilla, and mattmanna. we went to the big chill, which was maybe not the best because mark (slugs) was working. but i didn't cuddle geordie or anything in front of him. so i think it was okay, he's been flirting with priscilla lately anyway. he always gives her free ice cream when he's working. awww. priscilla and geordie get along really really well and i'm glad. and mattmanna and geordie seem to like each other. all besties friendsies! we went to my house for a bit too, and went out on the roof, geordie had one helluva time getting out the window..it was pretty funny, for us, not for him. it was beautiful out.

then geordie and i stayed up too late.. and i'm tired today. goddammit. i have to know my boundaries and then stick to them.

but they're going away this weekend so i won't see him for a bit. mark inside is playing in new brunswick, and if they do good there they might get a contract to play universities across canada. how exciting. and today they have meetings with booking agents and next week they meet with their video's director. oh, the fun..

i like how i'm just as excited about all this as they are. well..maybe not quite.

i really don't want to have to work tonight. at all. but i'll get to work with miranda, who i've taken a good liking to. she's pretty funny and we have motown parties and talk about boys. which is clearly my dream situation.
